Cookies & Storage
Last updated 1 October 2026
Mentogames sets no advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies. Visitors never receive a cookie at all; everything the site keeps is listed below and stays in your own browser.
What is kept in your browser
These entries live in your browser’s local or session storage for this site only. None are shared with other websites.
| Purpose | Keys | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game saves & records | gcc-save-v1, nightline-best-v1, wrunner.missions.v1, mg_sudoku_best_…, mento-…-best | Best scores and times, progress, missions and ghost laps, so they are there next time. |
| Game settings | mento-muted, mg_steer_mode, mg_tilt_sens, mg_haptics, nightline-prefs-v1 | Sound, tilt or button steering, tilt sensitivity, vibration, graphics quality, difficulty, board size and hints you have dismissed. |
| Favourites & recently played | mg_favs, mg_recent | Power the My games page and the continue-playing row. |
| Anonymous statistics ids | mg_vid (local), mg_sid (session) | Random ids so a visit is counted once. Removed when you opt out. |
| Your privacy choices | mg_stats_optout, mg_notice_v1 | Remember that you opted out, or that you have seen the notice. |
Cookies
The only cookie on the site is a sign-in cookie for the site operator’s private admin area. It is strictly necessary for that area and is never set for visitors.
Nothing is loaded from anywhere else
Every font, image, script and sound on this site is served from mentogames.com, so no other company sees your visit or could set a cookie through us. Pages are also sent with a permissions policy that blocks camera, microphone, location and payment access, and with a rule that stops other websites embedding Mentogames in a frame.
Statistics choice
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, statistics are switched off automatically and the notice is not shown.
Anonymous visit statistics
On — helps us see which games people enjoy.
See and delete your data
This lists what the site keeps in this browser right now. Download a copy of all of it as a file, delete one kind, or delete everything; games simply start fresh. Your statistics choice is kept so an opt-out stays an opt-out. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes that too.
