GetCityCrazy
Harbor Loop after dusk — steal cars, loot the street, pick up a piece, lose the Harbor Patrol at Harbor Body ($50). Dump the gold coupe at the docks. Yellow marker is a job, green pads are timed courier runs. Stars are heat. Every car on the street is fully built — arches, mirrors, chrome trim, brake discs — it leans, dives and folds where you hit it, and six shapes drive six different ways: the coupe is quick and fragile, the hatch turns in tight streets, the sedan is the honest all-rounder, the SUV shrugs off hits, the van is slow and hard to stop but shoves anything aside, and the pickup has the torque with a tail that steps out.

How GetCityCrazy works
You are dropped into an open city with nothing but the car you are standing next to. Anything parked can be taken, and there are six bodies on the street, each with its own feel: a coupe is quick and fragile, a hatch turns in, a sedan is the all-rounder, an SUV shrugs off the hits that would end a coupe, a van is slow and top-heavy but shoves anything out of the way, and a pickup has the torque with a tail that steps out under power. The traffic drives like traffic: it queues behind you, brakes when you cut across a lane, sounds the horn, and pulls over to the kerb when a siren is out. The body sits on springs, so it rolls out of corners, dives under braking and takes a moment to settle — and every hit shows: the panels fold on the side it landed, the glass goes white when the car is half dead and the headlights stop working once the nose is gone, so you can read a car's health without looking at the bar. Driving into things, into people or into the police raises your heat, shown as stars, and the police escalate with it — they ram, they block and eventually they shoot. They are cars like yours, though: hit one and it reels for a moment, a hit on a rear quarter spins it round, and enough damage leaves it burning in the road — which costs you a star but buys a few seconds before the next cruiser arrives.
Heat cools when you break the police's line of sight; the stars blink for a moment before they drop, so the last few seconds of a chase are the ones that count. If you cannot shake them, the Harbor Body shop takes fifty dollars to respray the car, which clears the heat outright and patches the damage. The same part of town sells upgrades that stay with you: a street tune for speed, a cage and plates so every car you drive takes less damage, body armour for yourself, and rounds if you are carrying.
Money comes from the green pads: timed courier runs where the arrow points at the drop and delivering in a row builds a streak that pays more each time. Your cash, your upgrades and how far you have got through the job chain are saved on this device, so a run is not wiped when you close the tab — and the money you keep is what turns the next run into a better one.
Tips for GetCityCrazy
- Stars are heat. Break line of sight and the stars start to blink before they drop.
- Cruisers can be beaten with your car. Clip the back corner of one and it spins out; a few solid hits and it is burning in the road. The next one takes a few seconds to arrive — use them to break line of sight.
- Harbor Body resprays your car and clears your heat. Its shop also sells upgrades that last between visits.
- Green pads are timed courier runs. Follow the GPS arrow, and keep delivering to build a streak for bigger pay.
- The traffic can see you now. Sit across a lane and they queue up behind you with their brake lights on, and they will lean on the horn. Once you are wanted they slow right down and hug the kerb — which leaves you the middle of the road, and the police a clear run at you.
- Watch the body, not the speedo: it leans out of a corner, dives on the brakes and squats under power. If it is still rocking from the last flick, the tyres have not settled either — wait half a beat before you commit.
- Cars now carry their crashes: panels fold where you hit something, the glass goes white at half health and the headlights die at a third. A car that looks wrecked is about to be.
- Six bodies drive differently: coupes are fastest, hatches turn in, sedans are the safe pick, SUVs and vans shrug off hits (the van is the battering ram, but it will not stop), and the pickup has torque with a loose tail. Pick the car for the job, not the colour.
- On a phone the whole left half of the screen is the wheel: put your thumb down anywhere and drag. The pedals, handbrake and the one action button sit under your right thumb and never move.
