How Wrunner works
Wrunner is a three-lane run along a neon highway above the clouds. You change lane, jump and slide; the highway itself accelerates from the start and keeps going until it is running more than twice as fast as it began. Obstacles are honest about what they want — a low wall is a jump, a beam is a slide, a blocked lane is a lane change — and reading two rows ahead is the whole skill.
Coins feed your score, and passing an obstacle by a hair is a near miss, which chains into a combo worth up to eight times as much while you keep them coming. Two pickups change a run: a magnet pulls in every coin near you for seven seconds, and a shield absorbs one crash and gives you a moment of blinking grace afterwards. Gates on the track are worth going through rather than around.
Three missions run at any one time — collect so many coins, land so many jumps, pass so many gates — and finishing one pays a bonus immediately and deals a fresh one. Completed missions add up to a runner level that is kept on this device, and the higher the level the harder the missions you are dealt.
Tips for Wrunner
- Look two obstacles ahead, not at the one in front of you.
- Jump the low walls and slide under the beams. Changing lanes is the safest answer when you're unsure.
- The track speeds up over time, so start switching lanes a little earlier as it does.
