How Sweet Match works
Swap two neighbouring sweets to line up three or more of a kind. They pop, everything above drops into the gap, and whatever lands in a new line pops too — a lucky swap can cascade several times over. A swap that makes no line is refused, so you never waste a move by accident.
Bigger lines leave something behind. Four in a row makes a striped sweet that clears its whole row or column when it goes; five in an L or a T makes a wrapped sweet that bursts twice over the tiles around it; five in a straight line makes a colour bomb that takes every sweet of whatever colour you swap it with. Two specials swapped together do both at once.
Every level has a move budget, a score to beat and an order to fill — so many of one colour, sometimes two or three colours at once. Clearing the target earns a star, and beating it by a third or by four fifths earns the second and third. When no swap is left anywhere the board reshuffles itself rather than ending the level.
Tips for Sweet Match
- Make matches low on the board. The cascades above can chain into free combos.
- Match five in a row for a rainbow candy, then swap it with the colour you need gone.
- Check the level goal first. Score is nice, but the goal is what clears the stage.
