Nothing here runs away from you. There is no countdown and no enemy on your tail — the board sits still until you move, which makes these the games to open when you want to think rather than react.
Where a clock appears at all it only records your time, so a slow, careful game costs you nothing but your own record. Most of them keep a best time or a win count per difficulty, and several let you undo a move or take a hint when a board stops making sense.
They also pick up where they left off in the sense that matters: a fresh puzzle is one tap away, and nothing is lost if you close the tab in the middle of one.
